The air was brisk and Tabitha had no worries. She was walking down busy streets filled with merchants and shops. Happiness bounced all around her. Life overflowing with no worry and no sadness. Such a drastic change for her coming from her dark past. It felt better almost as if a burden had lifted off her shoulders. Thinking on the past had only brought her down and now only a few things remind her of it. A song, a person similar looking to someone she knew, and or a place that resembled somewhere she had been. It was a shame her past was linked to such tragedy.
But as she furthered herself away from it, she also blocked it from her memory. Moved on and started an entirely knew life. She had got to the point where she was Tabitha and not the name she used to go by. And it had been so long, she had forgotten her old name. She brainwashed herself.
Turning the corner a coffee shop caught her eye. That's where she was meeting her partner. The sun was bright and white puffy clouds floated above. The breeze was cool and the flowers were in full bloom. As she neared the coffee shop, she could see her sitting outside on the patio drinking a coffee.
Compared to her, her partner Sandra was even more unique. Tabitha was very girly and well kept. Long flowing hair and jewerly. She liked dressing up fancy and wearing makeup. Sandra had short hair, spiked, dyed, and had more of a masculine look. Wearing collared shirts and never really looking ellegant. It seemed as if they nothing in common until you got into their personalities. They were almost identical. Sitting down beside Sandra, Tabitha wrapped her arm around Sandra's and started talking.
"So it's been about a year right?" Tabitha asked.
"Mmhmm," Sandra replied.
"This Friday will be a whole year, I can't believe it," Tabitha smiled.
"And also after all we've been through an faced. You and I have lost so many friends but I don't care, because I love you. Do you want me to get the waitor over here? I didn't mean to start without you."
Tabitha's smile grew wider, "I don't care. I'm not here for the coffee," she rested her head on Sandra's shoulder.
"Where do you want to go? I mean...this place has been great, but you know me. I don't like to stay in the same place for long."
"Well, I was looking to settle down somewhere, but I'm used to moving around. I don't know where I'd want to go. This place seems just right. Perfect."
"Too perfect I think."
Tabitha shrugged, "We'll think of something. Finish your coffee and let's go back to the house."
Sandra smiled and downed the rest of her coffee. Standing up they both hugged each other and started to kiss. As quickly as their lips touch, so did their blood spray across the coffee shop window and all over the wooden patio floors. All Tabitha could see was red. All she heard were screams. Then from the distance she could hear the shot from the gun that just killed her and her lover. The bullet had gone straight through her heart and into Sandra's chest. Now with chaos all around them, things got dark. And as all the noises started to drown out she heard a familiar voice in her head....
"Bye, bye, beautiful."
